How to Earn Free Amazon Gift CardsJuly 13, 2017
Everyone loves to get free stuff, and these days it’s easy to land free gift cards for Amazon. Having them on hand lets you buy things for less, and here are eight ways you can nab some for yourself. Some of these don’t even call for much time investment.
1. Get an Amazon Credit Card
Amazon offers a Visa rewards card through Chase Bank, and it’ll earn you 3% cash on all purchases at Amazon.com. If you happen to be a Prime member, you’ll earn 5% back instead. In addition, from time to time, Amazon offers special promotions that give you a free gift card of up to $70 when you first sign up for their card.
2. Use Amazon’s Trade-In Program
Amazon offers a trade-in program that you can redeem for credits. These credits work just like gift cards because they can be used to lower the cost of items you’ve put in your shopping cart.
To participate, just look over items you’ve purchased through Amazon and aren’t using. You can return those items to Amazon and they’ll cover the shipping cost. Then they’ll assess the items you've sent and let you know within a couple of days if they’ll be accepted. Especially hot commodities are movies, video games and electronics that work and are in good shape.
3. Sign Up for Amazon Mechanical Turk
Amazon Mechanical Turk provides piecemeal work and short, simple tasks that need to be completed by a human. You get paid for the “HITs” you perform (this stands for Human Intelligence Tasks). Compensation varies, but the more difficult the task, the higher the pay rate.
You may be asked to any number of tasks, and some examples are transcription, looking up email addresses or taking short surveys. The money you earn goes into your Amazon account, and it can be redeemed as cash or by placing it directly on an Amazon gift card.
4. Sign Up for Ibotta
When you sign up for the Ibotta app, you’ll get a $10 bonus with your first rebate, but even better, you’ll begin to earn money on stuff you normally buy at the grocery store. It covers everything from bread and eggs to name-brand products, and you can earn rebates at any store.
When your account reaches a certain amount, you can cash out for money or for gift cards including Amazon.
5. Use Edge and Bing from Microsoft
You can also earn points by browsing the Internet with Edge or using Bing to do searches. Once you’ve accumulated around 5,000 points, you can cash out for a $5 Amazon gift card.
Simply sign up for the Microsoft Rewards Program, and when you use Edge or Bing, you’ll start earning rewards.
6. Check Out SwagBucks
SwagBucks is an awesome program that allows you to earn points by doing lots of things that you normally do, and you can redeem your points to earn free Amazon, Walmart, or PayPal gift cards.
Some of the ways you earn points are through online purchases, playing games and doing web searches. You can also view popular videos to rack up points which are also known as “SwagBucks”, and it’s free to sign up.
7. Do Surveys Through Prize Rebel
It’s free to join Prize Rebel, and you can earn points through their program by doing things like free trials, viewing videos and doing surveys. For every 500 points you tally up, you can cash out for a free Amazon gift card worth five bucks. It’s pretty easy to earn over 100 points in a day, so you can expect to score multiple gift cards in any given month.
TopCashBack is website that offers high cashback rates as well as free Amazon gift cards while you shop online. It’s free to sign up, and you simply start your shopping on their website or app to earn anywhere from 3 to 25 percent cashback. They also offer coupons to save you money while you shop.
